Sara Renner

May has been a relaxing month for me.  I’ve been recharging and getting ready for summer outdoor concerts.  I’m still hoping, along with the rest of MN, that we’ll actually have a summer.

The next opportunity you have to hear Sara Renner music is: Saturday, June 1st 2013 in Minnesota Square Park in St. Peter, MN.  I’ll be doing a 60-minute acoustic concert at a festival called LIVESTOCK.  Follow the link for details regarding this wonderful ministry which partners with World Vision and raises funds to buy livestock for families in poverty around the world.  Last year, they raised over $90,000.. thanks for folks like you who came to support the music.

We had a wonderful connection with the folks at All People’s Community at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church last Saturday.  Thanks to all of my friends that came to see us and welcome to the new friends we met.  It felt so good to play my music with The Elements.  It had been a few months between band shows… I can’t wait for the next one (June 26th!).

In the next few days I’ll be updating the home page with details of our next show… a very exciting acoustic night at The Aster Cafe in Minneapolis on Friday, May 10th.

I guess we will NOT be showing Wisconsin some love after all!  At least not until this summer when we are all feeling warm sunny feelings and old man winter cannot sabotage our plans for love and harmony.  All this to say, our FRIDAY, FEB 22nd concert at Pathways Church in Appleton, WI is cancelled due to the threatening winter storm.  A new date will be announced soon!

It may be true, Minnesotans don’t always like Wisconsin folk and vice versa… especially when the purple meet the green & gold.   But since we are now in the season of sports “limbo”, after football and before the basketball tournaments; can’t we all get along?  I’ll be doing my part with The Elements THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd.  Showing some love to Wisconsin with a full concert at Pathway’s Church in Appleton.  JOIN US!!!  Tell your friends in WISCONSIN.. if you have any of those.

Just got back from a fantastic multi-purpose trip to Jamaica.  It was both a mission’s trip and a vacation.. a good balance of serving and resting! I spent two days praying for people while they were waiting in line for care at the medical clinic we hosted in Montego Bay.  And on the third day I helped finish a house being built for a lady named Barbette and her 4 children.  Then, two days of relaxation at a beautiful resort on the beach!

I’m ready for a busy few weeks getting back into concert ministry with two full-band Elements shows and an Acoustic Show this weekend and next.  Here are the details:
